Bright, bold, and blue soled Tieks flats are an internet sensation. These Italian leather foldable shoes are sassily priced starting at $175 for the pair, but the question is: are they worth it? I am on my fifth pair of these puppies, and my honest opinion is—sort of. If you want the truth about Tieks, you’re just going to have to keep on reading.
They really are darling
The first thing that drew me to these flats was their adorable, signature, Tiffany blue soles. That bright robin’s egg color is a favorite of mine and was the hook that reeled me in. Second to the soles their versatile color selection and the wide array of patterns and textures had my head drumming up the countless outfit combinations before I could click “add to cart.” I chose the ballet pink for my first pair and fell head over flats when they arrived. They are the perfect shade of ballerina pink, not too pinky, not too nude, just right. I genuinely wear them all the time. So much so that some of the decorative stitching came undone; which leads me to my next point: customer service.
The queens of customer service
You can imagine how heartbroken I was that decorative stitching on the inside of the flat had unraveled, especially when I had paid such a pretty penny for them. However, this tragedy opened the door to a new experience with Tieks customer service. These people are so attentive and efficient; they are on par with the likes of Disney’s customer service. Not only did they fix my flats free of charge, but they paid for the shipping to and from my home. They also kept constant contact with me to let me know the status of my shoes, and when I could expect them back. Attentive, and genuinely wanting serve, Tieks customer support is amazing. On another note, if you purchase a pair of flats and they aren’t the color you dreamed of, exchanges are easy and simple. For the full exchange policy click here.
Comfortable and packable
The main feature that separates Tieks flats from others is that they fold for easy storage or toting. They tuck in toe-to-heel and nestle nicely into their sleek black carrying case for convenient packing. But there are other flex-to-fold flats so what’s so great about these? The comfort! These are the most comfortable flats I have ever owned, bar none! I can walk in them all day, and I won’t get blisters or tired feet for that matter. I take them every time I travel because I know I won’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. With my Tieks, I get both.
Let’s talk money
It is finally time to address the elephant in the cyber room—the cost. From $175 to a whopping $345 these flats are going to cost you. Prior to my first pair of Tieks, I had never spent more than $50 on flats. Now the proud owner of 5 pairs and counting, I can say wholeheartedly that I don’t regret a single purchase. These flats are made to last, and the value that I get out of a pair of supremely comfortable shoes rather than buying multiple pairs that I never wear is what makes these babies worth it in my book.
Final thoughts
Do I love my Tieks? Absolutely! Do I think you should you compromise your budget constraints to get them? No. However, they truly are the most comfortable flats that I own, and if you have the budget to snag a pair, I’d say go for it. Give your feet a treat and step over to the Tieks side of the street, you won’t regret it! Click here to check them out for yourself.
